Hejsan alla.
I just want to start by thanking all my friends in Goteborg. I got a digital photoframe as a present from them and it's awesome. It argued with me when I was going to fix the setup but now we are the best of friends and I love it. =D Sorry about the delay of saying thanks again tho, I've had it up for a few weeks already. I only wish I had more free spaces to place things on. It's all kind on top of everything atm.
Which leads me to something else - that I'm gonna start packing ! Wooho. As I'll be homeless again the 19th of June I have to send my stuff somewhere else until we will move into our house in September. (Kath has offered to have some boxes at hers, and Charlotte said it might be ok if I had stuff with them too :) So they are all really kind and helpful. A self-storage isn't That expensive but it would still be for 3 months and I'd have to get my things there somewhere (Busride x7?) and it would be an unnecessary expense. :) So I'm gonna start packing in a box or two soon so and then I'll get more space too. Gonna go through my things to see if there's anything I don't want/need that I can give away. Will take some time and energy tho (but it would be fun!) of which I don't have atm. Not gone to bed when I should have and been working on my essays! (I actually have! go me ^^ only a whole essay left and 866 words too many on the third one)
I have my exam schedule now, and my last exam will be the 16th of June. They'll all be in a sports hall and .. well... when I wrote it down in my dairy the pen I got hold of was a glittery one so now the exams are all shimmering and stuff. I guess I unconsciously believe it well be happy, happy times! (or not lol)
My second term ends the 9th of May (4 days after easter lol) so I'll be for about 6 weeks and all the time in between the exams too. I'm planning on maybe volunteering for 2 weeks in the British Red Cross Shop - if they want me.
Here is my exam schedule:
17 May: 14.00-16.00 International History & IR
1 June: 14.00-16.00 Intro. to International Politics
2 June: 9.30-11.30 The Rise of China
3 June: 9.30-11.30 Into. to Government (INIT Graduation!)
10 June: 9.30-11.30 European Integration
11 June: 9.30-11.30 Intro. to Political Thought
16 June: 14.00-16.00 Key Issues in British Politics Today (My motivation will surely be High for this one... Last And Boring)
I feel slightly worried that 50% of all courses' grades are based around 2 hours exam. Barely sufficient I'd say but hey ho.
They seem to have really nice spring/summer clothes in town atm. Shame I don't have more money (does anyone know when CSN transfers money for the 3rd term?) lol :P Josefine had a shopping spree on her roadtrip and brought some really nice stuff (she showed it all lol) and I must say she's getting a rather nice taste in style. :)
On Sunday (hopefully) we'll meet Philippa and get our House sorted. :) I'll keep you updated! Paul's coming here on Saturday :)
I have brough stuff from the kitchen into my room now, they obviously can't read "don't use my stuff" and understand the meaning of it so I just brought my stuff into my room (no space) since I don't have the time or the energy to wash up the double amount since I find dirty stuff in my drawer among the (before) clean stuff. Only removed my cutlery and knives and that, glasses, plates, pots and pans, and stuff will just have to be out there for now.
R.I.P My Lovely Brush. He served me well the last years. I'll never find a good replacement. :(
Och Secrett ar i Egypten i 2 veckor! Klart man vill prata med personer just nar de ar borta! haha. Secrett kom hem nu sa jag kan skicka onodigt Youtube lankar till dig!
I got Voddler :3 Yay. Unfortuntely I can't use it unless I am actually physically in Sweden. The same goes for Tv3 + Tv6 play. Oh well. For all those who can watch BBC iPlayer (ppl in the UK I imagine) I recommend the Undercover Princesses program! It kinda silly, and they are kinda... stupid at times x) But it's kinda fun to watch. They e.g. couldn't really understand how to make a cake (and it was a bake mix). :)
Basically, it's about 3 (IRL) princesses who wants to find true love without ppl just liking them for their title. They therefore comes to Britain (as no one knows them/their face) to find their love in 3 weeks while having normal jobs and living together in a normal house. They come from a province in Germany, a province in Uganda, a province in India.
I should continue on my essay now :) European Integration in the 1960s! Fun fun.. :)

War on (of?) Terror
I have signed up to be a Red Recruit for the Red Cross UK. :) Yay. Me doing something good :)
I just did my registration for modules in my 2nd and 3rd year and they will be (if they are accepted) the following (if people are interested):
Year 2
♫ Political Research and Analysis (compulsory)
♫ Ethics in International Relations
♫ Terrorism and Political Violence
♫ Foreign Policy Analysis and Management (Double size module)
♫ International Organisation: the UN System (compulsory)
♫ The Global Burden of Disease: Globalisation and International Health (Double size module)
Year 3
♫ Modern Classics of Comparative Politics (compulsory)
♫ Anthropology and Development
♫ Disasters
♫ International Environmental Politics (no other good options for this slot really)
♫ The US and Latin America
♫ International Conflict Analysis & Resolution
♫ Rights, Freedom, and Individualism: Contemporary Liberalism in Question
♫ Humanitarian Communication
Unfortunately, the only one they could offer about Africa is not available until 2012/13 - the year after I've (hopefully) graduated. :(
Today I went to a guest leacture/event where we watched the movie : "Outside the Law: Stories from Guantánamo Bay" where the co-maker of the movie (and the author of the book that the movie is based on) Andy and one of the prisoners, Omar, came for a Question session.
Very interesting, very sad, very horrific. >.< ;_; Watch it.
Me leaving now. Sad, powerless, panda. :(

It buuuurns...
It's clearly spring here :) The sun is burning me through the open window. Not anymore tho, I've just hung up a duvet cover on the curtain rail (sorta) and hopefully it won't burn a hole in it ;) (Yes, I'm being a good girl)
The other day I was thinking of moving my blog to another blog-provider, I do not really enjoy this one. I've been looking at one and tried it out and it mets my approval. You might get a link to it soonish... I've not made the design there tho, I've not had the energy or the time for it (I've been working on my essay) but I do kinda like the one you could get pre-made. :)
I feel like gaming today, and just have a day doing nothing productive at all, but of course that won't happen. I have to read for my seminar and finish off the essay that's due first. I've written a draft for 2 but not finished either but it's still... kinda good I think. I haven't gamed for like... a week... x) Secrett: "oj da" lol. Surprise surprise.
And... shame on me... but I find Lady Gaga's new song (Telephone with Beyonce) pretty good. The worst part is Beyonce's part lol :) I don't generally like her but well... at least I won't go to the length of posting it here. You'll have to look it up yourselves.
Another good song is Nickelback's "If Today Was Your Last Day" :) That one was almost on repeat while I was writing 75% of my essay yesterday :)
A few days ago I was watching the English version of Melodifestivalen on BBC iPlayer and OMG, IT'S A DISASTER! :O Basically what they did is that it's only one single program (1 and a half hours) where they have picked 6 artists/bands from before and this songwriter decides 1 old hit they have to perform to show if they are "up to it" or "good enough" to represent GB. Then 3 of them goes on (a jury decides) and they all have to sing Their Version of the same song (that the songwriter wrote). The guy who won was Josh ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e0vHnZDX1GI ) The song is called "That sounds good to me" and it is not too bad but still, that's not a lot of things to choose from...
So even though the Swedish tradition includes some bad songs and stuff, at least we get to choose and it's something fun to do with your family or friends :) And... the worst of it... they call the program "Eurovision: Your Country Needs You." *runs around in circles*
I have to choose the modules for year 2 and 3 soon (By the 26th of March) and I'm not entirely sure what to pick. :/ There are so many restrictions too! "You can't read more than this in that and that and then.."
Tonight it will be the left overs from yesterday (as I always cook for two) ^^ Spaghetti and minced meat sauce a la me :) I should come up with a name for it, to make it sound more appetizing. :) Mot Sherwoods' skogen!
Love

Byeski.
Och skärpning med kommentarerna! LoL.

Constructivism & Fiskbullar
Okay, so we didn't get the house. Lovely. A group of guys were chosen instead by the landlord. I feel... yes... like that...
Anyway, we've now booked 3 new viewings on monday morning. It will only be me and Keeley looking though since the others are out of town. If they aren't any good we'll have a look on wednesday, or if that's bad on friday and so on. Dave said he'd be my guarantor, as long as I don't skip paying the rent. :) Thank Yoooou, that's one issue less to think about. (The person in question has to be UK based and earn a certain amount during a year to be accepted, if you don't have one (especially if you're international) you have to pay for a whole year in one go, and international students a year in advance... sigh? I'll have problems paying the first quarter rent in June! What wouldn't I have if I had to pay the whole rent for a year in one go?)
I have been looking for work for the summer, but England doesn't have much to offer. They are just as odd with this as with student accommodation. Student Flats just don't exist - weirdly student houses do. And the term a "summer job" seems just as foreign as student flats. Here you have bank positions, graduate jobs, apprenticeships, volunteering and much more but summer jobs just won't do. I've therefore turned my gaze towards Sweden and applied for work at Maxi, Kalmar, as well as Lidl, Kalmar atm. Maybe I'll apply for more, especially I might ask my grandmother to hand in my CV to Ica Rockneby. Interviews would be problematic though. I desperately need a job, and not being paid is not an option (otherwise I might have volunteered at the Living Coast in Torquay, ♥ penguins!!!).
Secrett talked me into ordering food from Tesco's again. Lazy :( But.. that means I will recieve food tomorrow, even if I'm too lazy to go into town since that might have happened. Today, however, Swedish fiskbullar will be served with lobster sauce and potatoes :D Yum Yum. Only got 2 tins with be from Sweden though, but this will be the first I use - so a whole meal left still!
Today's lecture was really interesting, there are few I've enjoyed as much. They're all interesting but on different levels. Today is was about Constructivism and I think I agree more with that theory/ideology than many of the others (Realism, Idealism, Liberalism, Marxism, the English School etc). No offence to anyone thinking differently.
I am not entirely happy/satisfied with Blogspot, there are probably other better Blogsites out there. Just a tip if you'd want to create one, don't do it here. (well.. you could if you're not needing it for much but I would like to be able to put in embedded videos and also other stuff without it always complaining about the errors in the HTML - I'm not writing it Blogspot, You are writing the HTML code incorrectly and I correct it for you to enable it for posting.)
Anyway... (How I love that word)

Dancin'
We had amazing weather yesterday, sunny and not too windy. Lovely Spring weather.
At 7 I'm going to meet Keeley and Charlotte to make the last things before we have a confirmed house. Charlotte has instructions for how to pay our fee/deposit and stuff and is going to tell us at Woody's tonight :) Kath is unfortunately (and fortunately as well) at home and getting her leg checked :) Hopefully she won't have to go many more times so that's good. Our address for next year will probably be Gordon Road, we do not dare to wait any longer to hear from the other house (that looks too good to be true and probably is as well... since he hasn't bothered answering his email (it's been Days!))

I miss dancing :( Or a weekly routine outside of University but oh well. I'm almost considering contra dancing - it seems to be the closest you can come to SQ in this region.
2008 YDW Techno Contra from Forrest O. on Vimeo.
Soon we have to decide the modules for next year, I've had a look at it and all the interesting ones are not until 3rd stage or "not available 10/11" (also only available Stage 3). I'll have a closer look as to what Law, Sociology, or Anthropology offers...
At the seminar today (Key Issues in British Politics Today) we discussed the electoral reform, and I defended Proportional Representation (rather than First past the post). Are you proud of me now, Sweden? (Not that I was the only one to defend it - the majority did but still ;P)
I have also set up a new Savings account (listen to that!) :) They are being weird and asking me to fill in stuff and then when they send papers back saying that they've already done what I requested. Not an issue really, just a bit silly. :)

Outside my window, 1st of March. (L)
I'll write soon again about the house business :)
